Planted By The Water (Psalm 1)

A high-energy gospel-rock setting of Psalm 1, using a fresh contemporary-English rendering checked against the preserved Hebrew. All six verses are represented: the influences a person refuses, delight in Yahweh's teaching, a tree nourished by water, windblown chaff, judgment, and two contrasting paths. The music develops through repetition and arrangement without adding new lyrical claims. New English wording and newly composed music—not a reconstruction of an ancient melody.
