The cigarette smoke stung Ed Warren’s eyes. "This case… it’s different," he rasped, his voice a gravelly whisper. Lorraine, ever serene, held his hand. "It followed us, Ed. All the way back." They were in Manila, invited by a wealthy family to investigate a series of disturbing events. But this wasn’t just any haunting. This was something darker, something ancient, and it had attached itself to them during the Glatzel case. Their first local contact was a flamboyant paranormal investigator named Madam Odette, played by Vice Ganda. "Mga vaklush! Welcome to the Philippines! But let me tell you, the spirits here? They are so fashion! They do not like to be ignored!" Vice sashayed around, a whirlwind of sequins and nervous energy. “This case you brought, it’s not just *baduy*, it's *balahura*!”
