Oak of Righteousness 2

Stepped out the gate, breath of fresh air, Steel and stone behind me, weight still there. Chains off my wrists but not off my mind, Years I can’t rewind, scars I can’t hide. Faced myself in a room with no escape, Looked in the mirror, had to reshape. Trauma, addiction, anger, fear — Sat with the truth till the path got clear. (Hook) From the ashes — beauty rising, From the ruins — hope surprising. Planted firm, I won’t fall again, Oak of righteousness, rebuilding. (Verse 2) They welcomed me in, not with pity but grace, A table, a circle, a seat, a place. Structure and purpose, brothers who care, Teaching me strength is learned by repair. Found me a job, found me a role, Slowly rebuilding a fractured soul. Now I reach back to the ones still bound, Tell ’em “there’s life when the walls come down.” (Hook) From the ashes — beauty rising, From the ruins — hope surprising. Planted firm, I won’t fall again, Oak of righteousness, rebuilding. (Bridge / Spoken) Ancient ruins restored. Places long devastated rebuilt. A planting of the Lord — for the display of His splendor. (Final Hook) From the ashes — beauty rising, From the ruins — hope surprising. No one’s too far, no soul beyond, We rise again — oaks of righteousness.
